Class 52 Western
The Class 52 Western is a 5" battery-electric locomotive available as a kit or "Ready to Run". It features a high level of detail (we've even included the driver's ash tray) and is accurately scaled to ensure it's as close to the real thing as you can get. The 4 x 150 watt, 24V motors and welded steel chassis ensure that you get a powerful and durable locomotive.
Information
The level of detailing on our Class 52 Western surpasses all other kits with interior bulkheads, driving desks and seats, even the ashtrays are included. The exterior of the loco is accurately portrayed with correct pattern grilles and lost wax brass casting for all the smaller detailing parts such as windscreen wipers and lamp brackets. The window frames are chemically etched for accuracy and ease of fitting. Buffers and suspension beams are investment cast in steel to ensure accuracy and durability. The kit is supplied partially built with the wiring loom installed and the bogies supplied as built units which only require cosmetic detailing.
