- SuperSound control desk
- 14 page user/installation manual
- All related wiring
- 40watt 12v amplifier
- 6x9” speaker (other sizes available)
- Fused terminal block

Can I fit one to my loco?
Yes, we will supply all the parts you need to match it to your loco and provide instructions and wiring diagrams to suit your application.
I have already bought a Phoenix Loco, can it be retro-fitted?
Yes, will provide all necessary parts and instructions.
Can I order a SuperSound with a Phoenix loco?
Yes, we will install the Super sound unit in your loco prior to delivery.
Why do you supply a new control desk, why can’t I just use my existing one?
The control desk houses the sound computer and allows perfect synchronisation of sound and control. You will still be able use your old handset to move the loco without sound.
I have got a Class 20 loco, can you supply the sound for it?
Yes, we can, we have several sounds available and more coming on stream each month.
What sounds can you supply?
We have engine profiles for Class 50, Class 20, Class 31. We will have Class 52, Class 42 and V200 available soon.
We work closely with South West Digital and should be able to supply all of the sounds currently available in their portfolio.
If you use South West Digital chips why can’t you just plug in their chip and have the whole portfolio immediately available?
We have to reprogram the profile to suit battery/electric format and this takes time. We are working through all the sounds and expanding the range.
We will also be adding some sounds of our own.
What about Class 14?
The Class 14 is unusual as the Paxman engine has a unique signature that has not been recorded, as yet.
There are very few models of the Teddy bears available (hint to Hornby)
We have made arrangements to record a Class 14 and will be processing the sound file to make it available via SuperSound.
It looks more complicated than my existing handset
The major functions of throttle, forward/reverse on/off and horn are all there in easy to use format the additional sounds are selected via the main selector (No 4 in the picture above). The engine sounds are automatic and will synchronise them selves to you driving input. You concentrate on the driving and SuperSound will supply the right sound at the right time!
The additional sounds, the whistles and bells are triggered via the same selector. We have found that customers rarely need to be shown twice, the system is intuitive and is very easy to use.
We also supply every unit with a manual with simple to follow instructions on driving, setting up and changing settings etc.
You can view or download the manual by clicking here (pdf - 5.01mb)
The manual is also available in printed copy for £10 inc postage.
This is refundable against purchase of a SuperSound.
